2024 DETOUR

Leg 5, 4.39 miles, rated easy.

Leg 5 starts at the junction of Whalen Island Rd. and Sandlake Rd.  It finishes this year in Pacific City just at the beach (about 50 yards longer than the past).  There are no turns, until you turn right onto Hungry Harbor Rd. at the parking area in Pacific City, proceed another 50 yards to the finish line just at the beach access.

This leg is rated easy, as there’s only 292 ft. of total climb for the entire 4.45 mile route.  It is a beautiful route with views of the Pacific Ocean on the right for most of the run.
